Due to the decison of the Hungarian Government Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest started the Campus Developing program in 2014. The government decision offered a solution to the long-awaited need for improvement and development of the MOME Campus, implementing the most extensive investment of the Hungarian creative industry. The project features complex professional and infrastructural development and aims at making MOME one of Europe’s leading art&design, research and educational centres.
As the first step of the investment a Workshop House has been erected, and a tender for the construction of a Media and Studio House has been announced. The campus development project also includes the complete renovation of all existing buildings between 2016-2018. During the construction and architectural restoration works MOME will operate in another location in order to secure undisturbed education. Beginning of winter 2016-2017 the educational and administrative functions of the university move to building “Z” of Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The new, temporary address of the university is 1111 Budapest, Bertalan Lajos utca 2.

Restaurants
There are three student's canteen near Building „Z”:
- Stoczek (11111 Budapest, Stoczek u. 1-3. /Bertalan Lajos u./)
- Goldmann restaurant (1111 Budapest, Goldmann György tér 1.)
- Q Menza (1117 Budapest, Magyar tudósok körútja 2.)
They offer daily menus, which usually contain soup, main dish and dessert. You can also choose from the restaurant's à la carte menu.
Buffet
There are quite a lot of buffets in Budapest University of Technology and Economics. According to the plans there will be two buffets in the Building „Z”, too.
• Building CH, ground floor
• Building E, 1st floor (buffet of the Goldmann canteen)
• Building I, ground floor
• Building Q, ground floor and 4th floor, A wing
• Building St ground floor
• Building K, basement and 2nd floor

In the BME Sport Center you can choose from the following sport facilities:
squash, ricochet, badminton, spinning, wall-climbing, ninjutsu, krav maga, aikido, carate, box, iaido, self-defense for women, capoeira, dancing, folk dance, gymnasitcs for women, crosstraining, yoga
